MUMBAI: JK Cement, a producer of white cement worldwide and of grey cement in India, has announced the opening of a new grinding unit at its Prayagraj Plant in Uttar Pradesh. By building a 2 MTPA Clinker Grinding unit, the Prayagraj Plant will boost the organization’s total capacity from its current 22 MTPA to 24 MTPA. With this calculated decision, the company can effectively meet the growing demand for cement in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Currently, JK Cement runs two operational operations in the state of Uttar Pradesh, 1.5 MTPA and 2 MTPA, respectively, in Aligarh and Hamirpur. With its state-of-the-art design, the project is anticipated to create a large number of direct and indirect job opportunities, boost the local economy, and promote regional development.
A release stated that, modern German technology, which lowers input and fixed costs and ensures excellent energy efficiency, is present in the Prayagraj grinding plant. Through this calculated growth, JK Cement will be better equipped to serve the changing demands of a wide range of clients in important markets.
